Acer announced a new line of Aspire notebooks based on Intel Core i3 and i5 Arrandale. 15.6-inch AS5740 and 17.3-inch AS7740 will be available in versions fitting comprising Core i3-330M 2.13 GHz or Core i5-430M 2.26 GHz, optional graphic card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 or HD 5470 and also an optional Blu-ray drive. Batteries installed in the notebook allows for 4 hours in the case of the model with 15.6-inch display and 3.5 hours for a 17.3-inch model.
The remaining specification module provides WiFi b / g / n, Gigabit Ethernet port, hard disk capacity of 500GB and HDMI. Both models equipped with support for Dolby Surround. In addition, the matrix model satisfies the standard for HD Ready. Sales will begin on January 17 this year.
